Annette E. Ihle

Annette E. Ihle, 77, of La Crosse and formerly of Coon Valley, died Saturday June 10, 2017 at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse. She was born August 22, 1939 in Chaseburg to Arthur and Edna (Lupie) Kuester. Annette was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. She graduated from Westby High School in 1958. Annette married Oswald Ihle on June 30, 1961 at St. Peter's in Chaseburg. Over the years she worked at the Swift Company in La Crosse, and Stockmen's, the Drapery Shop and Kwik Trip all in Coon Valley. Annette was an active member of the Coon Valley American Legion Auxiliary, having been a member since age 6. She served as president for many years. She was also a member of the Coon Valley Lutheran Church and South Ridge Circle.

Annette enjoyed playing cards, making lefse, supporting her son in his sports, spending time with her grandchildren and participating in Auxiliary functions.

Survivors include her son, Orlin (Tonya) Ihle of Holmen; 4 grandchildren, Lauren and Alex Ihle of LaCrosse and Tristen and Kendall Warren of Holmen; a sister Janice Raasch of Onalaska and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ossie in 2012 and a brother, Wayne Kuester in 1991.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Thursday June 15, 2017 at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Rev. Mitzi Miyamoto will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 until service time. Memorials may be given to the Coon Valley Lutheran Church or the Coon Valley American Legion Auxiliary. Online condolences may be offered at selandsfuneralhome.com.
