Carol M. Bluske

Carol M. Bluske, 85, of Chaseburg died Friday June 4, 2021. She was born July 22, 1935 in La Crosse to Rudolph and Linda Wrobel.

She graduated from Westby High School in 1953.  Carol married Wesley Bluske at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Chaseburg on Sept. 25, 1953. The couple owned and operated the Bluske Mobil Station until his retirement in 2004.  Carol worked at the Chaseburg Bank for over 30 years. Community and church involvement were very important to her.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Church and Ladies Aid, the Chasettes, and was a volunteer at Gundersen Health System and Good Steward in La Crosse.  Carol enjoyed playing in the Chaseburg card club for many years.  She loved gardening and spending time with family.

Survivors include her four children, Kathryn (David) Fontanini of Onalaska, Kristine (John) LeRoy of Somerset, WI, Kevin (Donna) Bluske and Kenneth (Kay) Bluske all of Chaseburg; grandchildren, Anthony (Steph) Fontanini, Andrew, Tyler (Emily) and Robert (Shiann) LeRoy, Britany, Samantha (William) and Alex (Abby) Bluske, and Katie and Kylie Bluske; 5 great-grandchildren, Walter and Bo LeRoy, Nora LeRoy and Julian Schmitz and Brooks Fontanini; her sister Corinne Nelson; a sister-in-law Carol Tryggestad, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Wes in 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday June 12, 2021 at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chaseburg.  Rev. Steven Oldre will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.  Friends may gather at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or to an organization of your choice.  The family would like to thank Kathy Trussoni, Tina Stuhr, Havenwood of Onalaska and Gundersen Health Hospice for their support, help and excellent care.
