Charles H. Hass

Charles H. Hass, 87, of Stoddard, died Sunday July 21, 2024 at his home. He was born February 1, 1937 to Henry and Augusta (Wrobel) Hass. On November 24, 1962 he was united in marriage to Colleen Larson. Charles worked in the auto body industry for 49 years. 

He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Stoddard where he served on the church council for several years and held various offices and served on committees including cemetery sexton for several years. He was computer organist for Pastor Krueger for most Thursday evening services. 

 Charles is survived by his wife, Colleen; a niece, nephew and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Loraine Pederson and three brothers in infancy.

 A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday July 26, 2024 at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stoddard. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time. Rev. Silas Schmitzer will officiate with burial in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Chaseburg. The Seland Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
