Conrad A. Myhre

Conrad Allen Myhre, 70, of Coon Valley, died Sunday September 11, 2022 at his home. He was born October 9, 1951 to Lester and Cordella (Peterson) Myhre. He graduated from Westby High School in 1969. Conrad worked at Trane Co. in La Crosse and the Coon Valley Creamery until 1978. He then started at Nelson Muffler in Viroqua where he retired in 2016. Conrad’s hobbies included fishing trips with his buddies, going to casinos, tinkering with small engines, building VW trikes and working on his dune buggy. He also raced a 1955 Chevy at Rock Falls Speedway. He enjoyed motorcycling and woodworking in his early years.

He is survived by his siblings, Lynnette (Butch) Hanson and Leslie (Dawn) Myhre; nieces and nephews, Mark Mathison, Valerie Hanson, April and James West, Anthony and Patricia Myhre, Andrew Bergum, Stephanie Walker, Benjamin Bergum and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Charlotte Mathison, maternal grandparents, Fred and Olga Peterson and paternal grandparents, Martin and Tilly Myhre; a nephew, Andrew Myhre and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday September 18, 2022 at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time. Rev. Meg Eiben Hoversten will officiate with burial in the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Cemetery. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
