Constance "Connie" K. Peterson

Constance “Connie” Karen Peterson, 83, of Chaseburg died August 7, 2024 at Benedictine Manor in La Crosse. She was born April 24, 1941 in North Bend WI to Virgil and Selma (Ekern) Johnson. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Hardies Creek Lutheran Church, Ettrick. 

 She married her high school sweetheart on March 5, 1960. After marriage they lived in multiple places while Dennis served in the Air Force. After his discharge, they settled down and built a home in Chaseburg WI. She worked at Jack Winter for 14 years and then at Gundersen Lutheran for 23 years until her retirement in 2003.

 She is survived by her husband, Dennis; four sons, James (Maria) of Green Bay, John of La Crosse, Jeffrey (Lisa) of Coon Valley, and Joey (Beth) of Platteville; eleven grandchildren, Suzanne (Joel) DeJardin, Shannon (Joe) Finger, Kelli (Mark) Jacobson, Jacob, Caitlin, Shauna Peterson, Crystal (Tony) Becker, Andrew (Mandi), Nathan, Nicole and Erik Peterson and 19 great-grandchildren. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Jayne Marie Frydenlund on July 29, 1988. 

 There will be a private family funeral service with burial at Hardies Creek Lutheran Cemetery. Seland Funeral home in Coon Valley is assisting the family. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Chaseburg American Legion Post 202 where Connie was an auxiliary member for many years.
