Corrine M. Nelson

Corrine M. Nelson, 83 of Coon Valley, died Wednesday August 24, 2022. She was born March 1, 1939 at LaCrosse Hospital in La Crosse to Rudolph and Linda (Schock) Wrobel. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. She graduated from Westby High School in 1957. Corrine married Roger Nelson on May 16, 1959 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in La Crosse. The couple lived in Coon Valley all their married life. Corrine was a day care provider for several years in her home. She worked at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse, retiring in May 2006. She was a member of the Coon Valley Lutheran Church where she was very active. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, walking, Bunco and baking and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her 4 children, Peggy (Mike) Trautman of West Salem, Patricia Hillman of Westby, Steven (Angie) Nelson of Coon Valley, and Pamela (Larry) Noll of West Salem; 8 grandchildren, Eric and Emily Trautman, Jordan and Jacob Hillman, Olivia and Hanna Nelson and Alyssa (Jesse) and Abby Noll; 2 brothers-in-law, Dale (Kay) and Monte (LuEtta) Nelson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger on March 8, 2007; sister Carol (Wes) Bluske and brother-in-law, Ernie (Audrey) Nelson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday August 28, 2022 at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 12 noon until service time. Rev. Meg Eiben Hoversten will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. The Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley is assisting the family.
