Dorothy E. Wedwick, 82, of Onalaska and formerly of Chaseburg, died Tuesday evening May 28, 2013 at Bethany Riverside in La Crosse. She was born July 26, 1930 in La Crosse to Frank and Grace (Spears) Manders. Dorothy married Clinton Wedwick on May 27, 1950 in La Crosse. The couple farmed in the Chaseburg area for many years before moving to La Crosse in 1987. Dorothy worked at Gundersen Lutheran in housekeeping retiring in 2007. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Eagles and Sons of Norway in La Crosse. Dorothy also loved to travel and read books.
Survivors include a son Frank (Lori) of Stoddard; a daughter Ann Olson of Onalaska; 6 grandchildren Branden (Danielle) Wedwick, Stephanie Wedwick, Amanda, Patrick, Grace and Alexander Olson; 8 great grandchildren; a sister Carol (Eugene) Halvorson of Stoddard; a special sister-in-law Audrey Manders of Viroqua and two very special friends Lillian Malzacher and Cora Grams both of La Crosse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clinton in 1991; a sister Frances Hoff and a brother Bill Manders.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 31, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in LaCrosse. Rev. Bruce Iverson will officiate with entombment at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call on Friday at the church from noon until service time.
