Esther M. (Jacobson) Blair

Esther M. (Jacobson) Blair, 91, of Milwaukee and formerly of Coon Valley, died Monday February 10, 2020 in Milwaukee.  She was born January 4, 1929 to John and Ella (Nelson) Jacobson.  Esther was baptized and confirmed at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church and graduated from Westby High School. She married Vern “Joe” Blair on November 22, 1952.  She worked for many years at Johnson Controls and later for Big Lots.   Esther enjoyed dancing, visiting with most anyone, going places with friends and was active in her church.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey (Susan) Blair and daughter, Heidi (Dan) Sivolotti; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Ingeborg Remley, Rebecca Stakston and Kathleen Syverson and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Vern “Joe” on March 12, 1985; siblings, Hjalmer, John, Kenneth, Julius, Ervin, Alvin and Gordon Jacobson, Luella Bakkum, Maline Stakston, Caroline Swiggum, Thelma Hatlan, Evelyn Romanski and Dianne Becker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday February 15, 2020 at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Rev. Julie Wollman will officiate with burial at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.  A visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
