Frederick "Corny" Loren Favor

Frederick “Corny” Loren Favor, age 68 passed away unexpectedly in his home in Viroqua on Friday, September 22, 2023.

Corny was born in Viroqua, WI to Fred and Marlene Favor on July 24, 1955. Corny attended Viroqua High School and graduated in 1973. While in high school he was on the wrestling team, and worked at the family business after school. Following high school he worked alongside his parents and brother, Mark, at the family business, G & F Distributing in Viroqua that his parents had owned since 1969. Corny married Sandra White on August 24, 1984, they later divorced in 2015. In 1997, Corny and his brother, Mark took over the family business, G & F Distributing, and ran it together until 2011, when Corny ventured on in the business alone. Corny owned and operated G & F Distributing in Minnesota, until his official retirement after over 40 years in the “beer business” in 2021.

Corny was a friend to many and was known to never turn down a good beer and conversation. Besides working his beer route, he enjoyed bowling and camping with his close friends and family. Corny was an avid Green Bay Packer fan all throughout his life. In his final years during retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and being a proud Grandpa to his two grandsons, Harrison and Oliver.

Corny is survived by his daughter, Serena (Shane) Inman of Viroqua, his son Frederick “Logan” Favor of La Crosse, grandsons Harrison and Oliver Inman, sister Julie (Dave) Farmer, of Verona, brother Mark (Cindy) Favor of Viroqua, and many special nieces and nephews.

Corny was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Lowell, his parents Fred and Marlene Favor.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2nd from 1-3pm at Immanual Lutheran Church in Viroqua. A prayer service will be held immediately following the visitation. The family will be having a private burial. To celebrate Corny’s life the family would like to invite his many friends and family to the Viroqua Eagles Club from 4-6pm for drinks and appetizers. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers any memorials in Corny’s name be directed to the Viroqua Eagles Club Cancer Fund.
