Gary R. Brosinski, 77 of Stoddard, died Wednesday May 25, 2022 at the Onalaska Care Center. He was born January 2, 1945 in La Crosse to Gustave and Elaine (Stellner) Brosinski. Gary served in the U.S. Army from September of 1965 to September 1967 and was honorably discharged after serving his country in the Vietnam War. Gary worked for Dolly Madison Dairies and then worked for the Trane Company for 32 years, retiring June 1, 2005. After retiring, Gary worked for the Village of Stoddard taking pride in mowing and maintaining the Stoddard Cemetery. He was a member of the Stoddard American Legion Post #315 and Coon Creek VFW. Gary was an active member of the Stoddard Lions Club. Over the years Gary enjoyed life and especially enjoyed road trips to outlying areas. He was always up to taking in softball, shooting pool, golf, hunting, casinos and a few brews along the way. Gary found his joy in baking and shared with many family, friends and neighbors. Survivors include a brother, Carl Brosinski of Stoddard; sisters, Margie Schumacher of West Salem, Mary (Jim) Kuecker of La Crosse, Janice Brosinski of La Crosse, Sharon Floyd of Chaseburg, and Sally (Bob) Dotterwick of Fountain City; a sister-in-law, Nancy Brosinski of Stoddard and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Denny Schumacher and Tom Floyd and a very special aunt, Maxine Dayton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday June 2, 2022 at the Stoddard American Legion Hall. Rev. Donald Fox will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the Stoddard Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Legion Hall Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time. The Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley is assisting the family. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
