James M. Nagle, 72, of rural Chaseburg, died Saturday May 23, 2015 at Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse. He was born November 24, 1942 to Morgan and Hazel (Dingeldein) Nagle in La Crosse. He graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1960. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964 with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC. He married Sharon Hagen on July 24, 1964 at Caledonia, MN. Jim worked as a welder for the Trane Company in La Crosse for many years, retiring in 2003. He was member of the La Crosse Eagles Aerie 1254 and the Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and working outside.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sharon; one son Kevin Nagle of Coon Valley; one daughter Kim (Randy) Randall of Chaseburg; 6 grandchildren Justin, Tia, Jullian and Blake Nagle, Nathan (Brittany) and Nick Randall; 5 sisters, Nancy (Marlin) Ladwig of DeSoto, Darlene (Wes) Larson and Barb (Jerry) Larson both of Chaseburg, RoseMary (Rodney) Hacht fo Columbus and Kathleen (Rodney) Berg of Chaseburg and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Timothy in 1965.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday May 30, 2015 at the Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church rural Stoddard. Rev. Mitzi Miyamoto will officiate. Burial with military honors by the Chaseburg American Legion Post #202 will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Friday at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley from 5 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.Visits: 10
