Jeremy V. Mathison

Jeremy V. Mathison, 34, of Coon Valley died Saturday May 29, 2010 at his home. He was born February 23, 1976 in La Crosse to Richard and Sandra (Ostrem) Mathison. He married Nichole Wolfe on September 10, 2004 in La Crosse. Jeremy worked at Northland Golf and Ski in La Crosse for the past 10 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, ginseng hunting, and collecting coins and military memorabilia. He loved spending time with his children and teaching them to enjoy the outdoors.

Survivors include his son Hunter Vaughn and daughter Molly Elizabeth, both of Coon Valley; two brothers Marty (Sarah) Mathison and their children Adam, Noah and Connor and Tim "Bill" (Tami) Mathison and their daughter Taylor all of Chaseburg; aunts and uncles Robert (Mary Lou) Mathison of Fairbanks, Alaska, Beverly Quintino of San Jose, Calif., Pauline Mathison of Durand, Charles Lueck of Fennimore, Francis "Frank" (Judy" Mathison of Chaseburg, Harley (Gloria) Ostrem of Chaseburg, Gene (Mary) Ostrem of Sparta, Jan Kirkwood of Sioux Center, Iowa, Nancy (Verlin) Hively of Orange, Calif., Betty Elsen of Hager City and Judy (Gary) Warner of Tucson, Arizona; one great aunt Doris (Rueben) Johnson of Coon Valley and a lifelong friend Ryan (Jenny) Letterly and their children Kenneth and Alison of Cashton.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father Richard in 2008 and his mother Sandra in 2009.

A visitation will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday June 5, 2010 at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley. Private family services will be held with Rev. Steven Oldre officiating.
