Joseph "Joe" S. Hayes

Joseph S. Hayes passed away peacefully at his Esofea home the morning of Friday, June 18th 2021. He was born in Norman Oklahoma on October 13th and if asked his age he would tell you he was a 51er. Joe was a visionary, he was creative and talented in countless ways and was a man of many projects. He was witty, complex, coquettish with ladies young and old, and left an indelible impression on many.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, sister Dorothy Martirano , brother Ed (Marie)Hayes, son Joshua, three step children,  two grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and one great step granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws.  He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth McReynolds, father Truman Hayes, two brothers Andy and Daniel, a brother-in-law Salvatore Martirano and nephew Alex.

A memorial in his honor will be held on Saturday, June 26th 2021 from 2-5 pm at the Bad Axe River Country Club at Esofea Gardens.
