Kylie M. Von Ruden

June 18, 1995 — July 15, 2012

Kylie M. Von Ruden, 17, of rural Chaseburg died Sunday July 15, 2012 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born June 18, 1995 to Bruce and Shirley (Flock) Von Ruden in La Crosse. Kylie attended elementary school in Coon Valley and Chaseburg and would have begun her senior year at Westby High School this fall. She loved softball and has played since she was a little girl - starting varsity her junior year as an outfielder. She was also on the school volleyball and gymnastics teams for 2 years. Kylie was an honor student and involved in cheerleading, poms and band.

Kylie always had an energetic, bubbly personality. She was always smiling and happy. She loved being around people, exploring new things and meeting someone new. She got her first job this summer at the La Crosse Country Club and made many new friends there. Kylie loved shopping - clothes, shoes, accessories - she loved it all. Kylie enjoyed traveling, loved New York City and always wanted to see the ocean. She loved to dance and belt out a song whenever the feeling was inside her. She enjoyed camping and spending time on the river, tubing and boating, and hanging out on sandbars. Kylie enjoyed spending time with her friends, bonfires and movies. She especially enjoyed spending time with Brett, road trips, watching movies, gator rides, concerts and many other things they did together.

Kylie is survived by her parents Bruce and Shirley Von Ruden; her brother Chase and sister Kenzie Von Ruden; grandmothers Lavina Flock and Jan Von Ruden; many aunts and uncles, Gary (Debra) Flock, Char (Dale) Mlsna, Kurt (Kathy) Flock, Cheryl (Ken) Serdar, Kim (Tammy) Flock, Kent (Jennifer) Flock and Kris (Heather) Flock, Rick Von Ruden (Shannon Johnson) Todd (Carol) Von Ruden, Randy (Pam) Von Ruden and Kathy (Tom) Muehlenkamp; many loving cousins and 2nd cousins; her special loving boyfriend Brett Sebion and his family that she loved very much, Mark and Vickie, Jedd and Erinn Sebion and many wonderful friends and classmates.

Kylie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Eugene Flock and paternal grandfather Donald Von Ruden and her cousin Chad Mlsna.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday July 19, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cashton. Rev. William Dhein will officiate with Rev. Michael Klos and Rev. Joseph Hirsch concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul/Pine Hollow Cemetery, rural Cashton. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Westby Middle School Fieldhouse in Westby with prayer service at 7 p.m. and also at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.
