Larry W. Kinserdahl

Larry W. Kinserdahl, 82, died peacefully on Saturday July 27, 2024 at his home at Lakeview Health Care Center in West Salem. 

 He was born June 1, 1942 in Viroqua, WI to Joseph and Eldora Kinserdahl. Larry was baptized and confirmed in the Westby and Viroqua areas. He graduated in 1960 from La Farge High School. Larry worked as a farm hand after high school. He later worked as a laborer at the Foundry. Larry also served in the US Navy. Later in life, Larry enjoyed working at the Tomah VAMC Incentive Therapy program escorting his fellow veterans to their appointments as well as assisting in the VA greenhouse. 

Dad loved working on old cars, playing pool, and listening to country music. He especially enjoyed listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash while drinking an ice-cold Pepsi. 

Larry is survived by his daughters, Shelly (Rick) Hass, Kathy (Jeff Westpfahl) Tracy, and Rebecca (Pahl) Erickson, sister Beverly Fountas, grandchildren Derek, Samantha, Joshua, Cherokee, Madison, Alyssa, Jacob & Mitchell, great grandchildren Marley, Chloe, Bo, Nora and Elliot, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather David Hughes, and brother Roger. 

We would like to thank the Tomah VAMC, Lakeview Health Care Center in West Salem and various care facilities in the area for caring for our dad. Memorials may be directed to the Tomah VAMC.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday August 1, 2024, at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time. Rev.
