Linda G. Jorstad

Linda G. Jorstad, 70, of rural Coon Valley, WI died Thursday March 22, 2018 at her home.  She was born December 17, 1947 in La Crosse to Clarence and Doris (DeGarmo) Wolfe and baptized at the Stoddard Lutheran Church.  She attended Westby High School.  Linda married Arlyn Jorstad on August 27, 1965 at the Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church.  They moved to Janesville in 1968 where Linda was a rural mail carrier for the Edgerton Post Office, retiring in 2001.  They moved back to Vernon County in 2005 and joined the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church where Linda was an active member.  She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, flowers, birds and making quilts.  She also volunteered at the Bethel Butikk.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Trudy (Bob) Johnson of Edgerton and Kristine Jorstad of Janesville; 2 granddaughters, Jessica (Jason) Clark and Jodi (Alex) Ylvisaker; 3 sisters, Myrna Ostrem of Chaseburg, Marlene Hess of Plain and Donna (Tom) Willenberg of Chaseburg; one brother Steven (Deb) Wolfe of Minocqua and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Carl Wolfe and an infant sister Marlys.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday March 26, 2018 at the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Rev. Meg Eiben Hoversten will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.  Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time.   Online condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
