Lois Jean Phillips, 96 of LaCrosse, formally of Genoa and Chaseburg passed away peacefully on August 14 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. Lois was born to Albert and Audra Dalsasso on March 11, 1925. She was united in marriage to Russell B. Phillips on May 29, 1943. Lois worked in La Crosse at the Garment Company as a seamstress and then in Genoa as a short order cook at the Big River Inn. She spent her days crocheting beautiful doilies that grace the tables of many who knew her.
She is survived by her son Ronnie of Chaseburg, son-in law Roger Hanson of LaCrosse, daughter-in law Kathy Phillips of Brownsville, MN, granddaughter Connie (Scott) Hurd of Tomah, grandsons Russell (Tere) Hanson of Mesa, AZ, and Matthew (Kristin) Phillips of Brownsville, MN, great-grandchildren Benjamin (Heather Moore) Hurd, Steven (Andrea) Hanson, Christopher (Cadie) Hanson, Katlyn (Estevan) Martinez and Payton Phillips, great-great grandchildren, Logan Hanson, Cadmon and Mateo Martinez, Madison and Skylar Hanson and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her husband Russell, daughter Judy, sons David and Kenneth and all her siblings.
A prayer service will be held at 12 noon Thursday August 26, 2021 at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley with a visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Genoa. Condolences may be given at selandsfunerallhome.com.
