Monte D. Theige

Monte D. Theige, 66, of Boyd and formerly of Westby died Thursday January 13, 2022 in Boyd. He was born November 30, 1955 to Arthur and Rena (Williams) Theige. He was baptized and confirmed at the Vang Lutheran Church. He helped his dad on the farm growing up.  Monte made his home at Paradise Living in Boyd the last several years.

Survivors include two sisters, Lynne (Marty) Stenslien of Westby and Nancy Forde of Augusta and a brother Barry of La Crosse.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Cathy Jo in 2015 and a brother Bruce in 2017.

A private funeral service will be held at the Vang Lutheran Church, rural Westby, with burial in the church cemetery. The Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley is assisting the family. Memorials may be given to the Vang Lutheran Church. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
