Patricia "Pat" L. (Andresen) Larson, 81, of Coon Valley, died Sunday April 8, 2012 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse. Pat was born March 17, 1931 in Tacoma, Washington to B.C. and Alvia (Graham) Ring. She married Lindy Andresen and had two children, Lin and Terry Andresen. Pat later married Ronald Larson and had two more sons, Kevin and Scott Larson.
Throughout her life, Pat was an active volunteer for many causes important to her, including Hospice, the local food pantry, and Norskedalen Nature and Heritage Center. In addition, she volunteered as a nurse with Madigan Army Hospital in Lakewood, Washington, assisting Korean War veterans.
Pat took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii and Mexico with her brother and sister-in-law and traveling by train to visit her family in Arizona. Pat's friends with Coon Valley Lutheran Church's Naomi Circle and from Pleasant Valley were very dear to her.
She is survived by husband, Ron; sons Lin (Teri) of San Tan, Arizona; Kevin (Kathy) of Coon Valley; and Scott (Kristin) of Madison; daughter-in-law Pam Andresen of La Crosse; brother James (Jeanne) of Fir Crest, Washington; sister-in-law Jean Larson of Burnsville, Minnesota; and cousin Floyd (Bernice) Barrick of Ankeny, Iowa. Pat is also survived by grandchildren Kristy Larson, Kyle Larson, Kate Larson, Ryan Larson, Troy Andresen, Pamela Zulich, Michael Bowers, Robert Andresen, Geoff Andresen, and Patrick Andresen; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son Terry Andresen of La Crosse, her parents; brothers Clifford and Graham; her sister Emily; and brother-in-law Erland Larson of Burnsville, Minnesota.
At Pat's request, there will be a private family burial. A celebration of her life will be held from 1 - 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at The View Grill & Bar, N3020 State Hwy.16, La Crosse. (From La Crosse, drive north on Hwy 16 toward Valley View Mall; the View is across from Bittersweet Flower Market).
