Patricia "Patty" A. Stuempges

Patricia (Patty) Stuempges, 64, of Coon Valley, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse after battling lung cancer and COPD for six months. She was born to Raymond and Angeline Becker on February 5th, 1959, in La Crosse, WI. Patty spent her younger years attending Blessed Sacrament, Aquinas High School for two years, and graduating from Central High School in La Crosse. In December of 1979, she met her husband Bruce Stuempges of Coon Valley, and they were soon married on February 28th, 1981. It was not long before their two boys, Ryan and Jason, came along, and their family was complete.

Patty was tiny but mighty, and her life can be summed up in one word. Love. She went to the earth's ends to ensure her family came first, and her love for her family was second to none. While her boys were young, she sacrificed her career doing home daycare so that she could be with them. Patty took pride in her family, especially her grandkids, giving them 100% of her love and support. She was a HUGE part of teaching them the ways of the world around them in their younger years. She eventually joined a great team at GECU in La Crosse, where she thrived.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Stuempges; her siblings Ron Becker, Judy Becker, Jerry Becker (Karen), Mike Becker (Sue), Rita Gasterland (Dirk), and Lynn Selness (David); her brother-in-law Brian Stuempges (Kathy), her two sons Ryan Stuempges (Shelley) and Jason Stuempges (Hannah), her niece Kory Stuempges, and her four grandchildren Maddex, Parker, Evelyn, and Andrew. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Becker, mother Angeline Becker, father-in-law Larry Stuempges, mother-in-law Nancy Stuempges, sister-in-law Ethel Becker, and nephew Scott Becker.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday August 12, 2023 at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church with a visitation from 9:30 until service time. Rev.
