Pauline M. Berg

Pauline M. Berg, 89, of Viroqua and formerly of Chaseburg, died Saturday March 26, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. She was born March 12, 1927 to Edward and Emma (McManus) Voelker in Washington County, Minnesota. On November 27, 1947 she married Rodney Berg in Hastings, Minnesota. They were later divorced. Pauline was employed by the Company Store in La Crosse for 21 years. She was a member of the Concordia where she spent her Sunday afternoons dancing.

Survivors include 6 children, Rodney Lee (Kathy) Berg and Dennis (Julie) Berg both of Chaseburg, Barbara (Gary) Mathison of Westby, Paula (Michael) Pasek of Billings, Montana, Marciela Engh of La Crosse and Pamela (Randy) Von Ruden of Cashton; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Swanson. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday March 31, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Coon Valley. Msgr. Michael Gorman will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m., at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and also at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
