Rodney E. Schultz, 78, of Chaseburg, died Tuesday October 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was born December 31, 1942 to Roy and Edna (Hoff) Schultz. He graduated from Logan High School in 1961 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. In 1966 he married Ruby Carson. They later divorced in 2009. In 2015 he married Dona Loretta Bravo. Rodney worked various construction jobs, then in 1971 he worked for the Army Corp. of Engineers and retired after many years there. In his younger years he enjoyed spending the summer on his uncles’ farms. He enjoyed cutting wood, dancing, country music and his special dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Dona; three children, Rhonda (Trent) Hanson, Robby (Toni) Schultz and Renee Heintz; four grandchildren, Tyler (Rachael), Zachery and Tanner Hanson and Angel (Levi) Leffler; six great grandchildren, Tucker, Johnathan, Ellie, Leo, Kori and Jodesa; and a niece, Patricia Russell.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, sister Melania (Frank) Russell, nephew Brent Russell and his former in-laws, John and Hilda Carson.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday October 10, 2021 at the Stoddard United Methodist Church. Prayers and military honors will follow at 1 p.m. The Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley is assisting the family. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
