Ronald “Ron” B. Call, 82, of Viroqua, passed away peacefully after a long illness Thursday, September 13, 2018 at his home. He was born May 16, 1936 in Viroqua to Maurice and Alice (Nedland) Call. Ron graduated from Viroqua High School in 1954 and later attended technical college. He served in the Army from 1957-1959. He would later become a skilled bricklayer and farmer. Ron married and later divorced Rosemary Fuenger.

Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching both the Packers and Brewers, playing euchre, and especially golfing with his friends at the Snowflake Golf Course. He grew up on a farm directly across from his present-day farm. Ron took great pride in his work and in raising tobacco for many years.

Survivors include his daughter, Becky (Bill) Donlin of Germantown; two sons, Ryan (Leah) Call and Bob Call both from Westby; and nine grandchildren, Melissa, Katie, George, Maurice, Chris, Joe, Devin, Jack and Julianne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randy; and a sister, Maxine Dotterwick.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Rev. Dan Wollman will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time.  Online condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
