Steven P. Hagen, 61, of rural Chaseburg passed away Monday March 18, 2019 at Gundersen Health System. He was born February 9, 1958 to Donald and Angie Hagen in Viroqua, WI. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1976 where he learned he had a passion for being a diesel mechanic. He left the Army National Guard in 1997 and went to River States Truck & Trailer where he worked for over 20 years. He worked every day that he could and would never complain. He enjoyed working on his family’s vehicles, helping the local farms, driving tractor, spending time with friends and family, and spoiling any kid he could.
Steve is survived by his children Suzy (Hernan) Arroyo, Bryan (Melynda Beeler) Hagen, Jeff (Kristy Shuda) Hagen, and Leah (Brannon McLees) Hagen; grandchildren, Jocelyn and McKenna Arroyo; brothers and sisters, Jim (Julie) Hagen, Wayne(Pat) Hagen, Richard (Nancy) Hagen, Diane (Dave) Stellner, Bev (Harland) Reschke, Nancy (Doug) Bean, Chris (Diane) Hagen, and Eric Hagen; 17 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Angie and Donald and Mario, his dog.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday March 23, 2019 at the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Rev. Meg Eiben Hoversten will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors by the Chaseburg American Legion Post #202. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
