Steven J. Seiler

January 19, 1948 — December 27, 2015

Steven (Teo, T-Man, Kojak) J. Seiler, 67, of rural Coon Valley died in his home peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Steven was born Jan. 19, 1948 in La Crosse to Robert and Carla (Peterson) Seiler. Steven was a 1966 graduate of La Crescent High School. He was married to Julie Christianson on September 6, 1980 at Westby-Coon Prairie Lutheran Church in Westby. Steven worked at Interstate Dealer's Supply in La Crosse for over 30 years until February 1997 and retired from Badger Corrugating in March 2014. After his retirement he worked for North Central Wood Products in Fountain City part-time. Steven enjoyed many years of playing softball in the area, camping, fishing and deer hunting with his family. Steven also was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packer fan for many years. Steven had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make you smile no matter how bad of a day you were having. He always had a song to sing (his own lyrics of course) and loved to dance to any kind of music, although the Polka was his favorite. He will be missed by many who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; three sons, Eric of rural Coon Valley, Nicholaus of Dubuque, Iowa and Joseph (Amy) of Oakwood Hills, Illinois, his mother Carla of La Crosse, three brothers, Dave of Onalaska, Robert (Judy) of Coon Valley, Paul of La Crosse; sister Donna (Mike) Cushing of Chesapeake, Virginia; four grandchildren, Kayla Marie, Kelli Jean, Kari Ann, and Joseph John Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert C. Seiler, Sr.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 1-5 pm at All Star Banquet Hall in La Crosse with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Online condolences may be offered at selandsfuneralhome.com.
